If you’re off and looking for something to do with the kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews this week, take them to a museum! The good folks at Block Club Chicago put together a list of museums’ free days for Illinois residents… here are a few you can check out today or later this week:
On Wednesdays, DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center in Washington Park is free all day and Adler Planetarium is free from 4-10pm.
Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Lincoln Park has free admission every Thursday for Illinois residents… it has lots of interactive exhibits like their butterfly haven, wilderness displays, and a playspace.
And a couple of museums that are free year-round for everyone are the National Museum of Mexican Art in Pilsen and the Chicago Cultural Center on Washington across from Millennium Park.
