The 66th Grammy Awards will air live tomorrow night (Sunday) at 7pm on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
There are three new Grammy categories that will debut this year: Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album and Best Pop Dance Recording. Burna Boy will become the first Afrobeat performer to appear on the Grammy’s stage. Other performers include SZA, Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, Jordin Sparks and Kirk Franklin.
Of course, we're shouting out and wishing all our city's luck to Chicago’s own two-time Grammy winner J. Ivy, nominated again this year for Best Spoken Word Poetry Album for "The Light Inside," and Chicago house DJ, producer and remixer Terry Hunter who has his second nomination this year for Best Remixed Recording for his remix of "Workin’ Hard" by Mariah Carey. The song appears on Carey’s Music Box: 30th Anniversary Edition. Terry got his first nomination last year in the same category for his remix of "Break My Soul" by Beyoncé.
