The Gentle Warrior Award is presented to individuals who exhibit the similar commitment, focus, and tenacity that Randolph displayed throughout his career. This year’s awardees are Emanuel Chris Welch, Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives and civil rights activist and icon Reverend Jesse Jackson, Sr.
Proceeds from the gala will go to support the museum’s expansion project, including creation of Randolph’s Way, the first Black Labor Tourism district in the United States.
