Mattel announced Viola’s doll joining the Barbie universe in honor of both Women’s History Month and the 65th anniversary of Barbie. This year’s collection honors global storytellers who use their platforms for good and Viola was their choice to represent the United States. Other honorees this year include Helen Mirren, Shania Twain and Kylie Minogue.
