I spoke with Will Downing about his upcoming show at Country Club Hills Amphitheater with Maysa tonight (Saturday, July 6th) and he said Chicago fans are special and inspire him to do his best:
"You know what's interesting about cities like Chicago... you guys hold on to traditions... It's like you haven't forgotten what it's like to appreciate real music or even getting dressed up to come to a show... And I love that about Chicago! You know you guys go out there, you'll be dancing in the aisles and stepping--it'll be a step competition going on at a concert. You look over to your left, you see two people get up and you see two people to your right, then you see somebody in the middle and next thing you know, it's a party! And as a performer, that's what you want to see. It makes you want to be the best that you could be as an entertainer."
