Black People Magic: Olympic Greatness Plus a Stamp for Hank

Team USA’s Track & Field were shining with Black People Magic in Paris at the Olympics this week!

Sha’Carri Richardson came through in style as the anchor to win the women's 4x100m relay with teammates Melissa Jefferson, TeeTee Terry and Gabby Thomas.

Tara Davis-Woodhall got the gold and fellow Texas native Jasmine Moore took the bronze in the women’s long jump and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone won gold and smashed her own world record in the women’s 400-meter hurdles, becoming the first woman to ever win two Olympic golds in that event. And her birthday was Wednesday too! And Grant Holloway won his first Olympic gold medal in the men’s 110-meter hurdles in just under 13 seconds.

Competition wraps up this weekend with men’s and women’s basketball finals and closing ceremonies tomorrow!

And Henry Louis “Hank” Aaron has been honored by the United States Postal Service with his own Forever Stamp featuring the baseball legend in his Atlanta Braves uniform… it’s all part of the yearlong celebration of the 50th anniversary of Aaron breaking the home run record on April 8, 1974. His stamp is available now at the post office and online.

& Remember to always celebrate your magic! xo
