Congrats to NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, who has been named the 2024 Muhammad Ali Humanitarian of the Year.
Shaq is considered among the most dominant players in NBA history, playing for six teams over his 19-year career and inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016. This honor is for the work he’s done to give back, raising millions of dollars for charity and founding the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation which creates paths for underserved youth and help them reach their full potential. He is also a national spokesperson for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and a member of National Board of Directors for Communities in School.
He will officially receive the honor at the organization’s big award ceremony on November 9 in Louisville, Kentucky. Others receiving honors at the 11th Annual Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards include Grammy Award-winning producer Niles Rodgers, who will receive a Global Citizenship Award… public interest attorney Bryan Stevenson, who will take home the Lifetime Achievement honors… and award-winning journalist, Dawne Gee, who will be honored as Kentucky Humanitarian.
& Remember to always celebrate your magic! xo
