I got the chance to talk with Karla Redding-Andrews who is Otis Redding’s daughter and runs the operations for The Otis Redding Foundation. I played her dad's holiday hit, "Merry Christmas Baby" for my Jeanne's Joint today and she had a lot of memories to share.
She and her family are getting ready to open the Otis Redding Center for the Arts in Macon, Georgia. And in addition to the center, there’s also a movie in the works about Otis’ life as told through his relationship with Zelma.
