Today, Rainbow PUSH Coalition hosts their MLK Day of Service and Learning at Rainbow PUSH Coalition National Headquarters, 930 E. 50th Street, hosted by Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. and the Jackson family, with speakers and panel discussions, including local faith, civic and corporate leaders. Tickets for the event are free and can be found online here.

And looking ahead to next month, Media Maven Worldwide is hosting their first Mavy Awards on Saturday, February 8th at the South Shore Cultural Center at 2 pm. Media Maven Worldwide is a non-profit organization founded by Ericka Porter to honor and recognize those who give back to the community and serve from the heart with the Presidential Volunteer Service Awards, including life time achievement awards signed by President Biden & Vice President Harris.
Damon Williams and Gina Lamar will host, with a performance by R&B singer Sean Wyte and I’m honored to be the keynote speaker. And in celebration of Dr. King’s birthday and holiday and their connection to his spirit of service, the Mavys are offering discounted tickets today at the info on the flyer below.
