Community Connect is here to hook you up and help you out with resources you can use to share your blessings and celebrate the contributions of amazing women!
Tomorrow is 25th Anniversary Chicago Polar Plunge at North Avenue Beach presented by Special Children’s Charities. The event brings out thousands of participants each year, who jump into the icy waters of Lake Michigan to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois to make a difference for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities! It’s free to come out and support but donations are always welcome… all participating plungers will receive free parking at Lincoln Park Zoo, a souvenir T-shirt and towel.
And Chicago Public Library is celebrating Women’s History Month! All throughout March, they’re hosting free empowering events to highlight the contributions of women through literacy, education, and performing arts at various locations. All ages are welcome!
Remember, our community moves forward in the best way possible when we all get the help we need and give the help we can!
