Community Connect is always here to hook you up and help you out with resources you can use… this weekend, we have ways to celebrate International Women’s Day today. This day of commemoration honors the historical, cultural, and political achievements of women.
Artifact Events (4325 N. Ravenswood Avenue, Chicago) hosts their 4th Annual International Women’s Day Market featuring pop-up shops curated by local women-owned businesses selling unique goods, jewelry, beauty, home goods, food, drinks, and more. It’s happening this weekend from 10am-4 pm each day, and it’s free to attend.
Today Gallagher Way at Wrigley Field (3637 N. Clark Street, Chicago) hosts their International Women’s Day celebration with a day of activities for all ages, including fitness, dance, cardio and yoga classes, an empowering movie marathon, shopping with women-owned businesses, plus specialty-themed cocktails for the adults. It runs from 9:30am-5pm and it’s all free!
