The 23rd Annual Chicago Pride Fest is this weekend, celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and community. Deborah Cox is one of the headliners on the fest’s 3 stages of live music plus dance exhibitions, pet parade, vendors and more. The main gate is at Halsted Street and Addison and it is free with $20 suggested donation. Chicago Pride Parade is June 30th.
Black Yacht Weekend continues through tomorrow with exclusive yacht parties and rooftop events, bringing Black professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, and influencers together for an unforgettable weekend of fun, relaxation, and connection.
The Far South Community Development Corporation hosts its Juneteenth Festival today in West Pullman (821 W. 115th St) from 1-6pm, featuring live music and dance, family fun and food from Black-owned restaurants. This is an all-ages free event.
The Color Purple: The Musical opens tonight at the Goodman’s Albert Theater, running through July 27th.
