What's Happening This Weekend: Parades, Live Music & Fright Fest

 It's a big weekend of fall fun, as we still enjoy summer temps and kick off Hispanic Heritage Month!

The Annual 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade steps off at noon tomorrow from the Little Village Arch at 26th & Albany. 

The Commercial Avenue Annual Mexican Independence Day Parade is also tomorrow, stepping off from 87th and Commercial at 1pm. 

Fright Fest at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee starts today and runs through November 2nd with terrifying haunted mazes, sinister scare zones, live shows, rides, plus specialty food & drinks.

Tuesday, September 16th, Leo High School celebrates their Boys Choir making it to America’s Got Talent semifinals with a watch party from 6:30-9:00pm at Leo High School, 7901 S. Sangamon. You can vote for them up to 10 times until Wednesday morning (September 17th) at 7am. The results show will air live Wednesday night on NBC. Get all the info and details on the flyers below!

September 18th-20th, it’s the 26th Annual Englewood Jazz Festival...

& Tickets are on sale now for Homeward: Movement, Memory, and Moments that Shape History, a movement journey through migration, identity, and belonging, blending and South Asian dance traditions and African movement with contemporary dance and ballet. Performances are September 20th at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, and October 10th for 2 shows at North Central College’s Wentz Concert Hall.
