Shout out to Comcast on the recent grand opening of their flagship Lift Zone inside the Aspire Center for Workforce Innovation in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. It’s the first of its kind in our city… an enormous, 76,000 square foot facility designed to advance digital skills and job training opportunities with free high-speed WiFi and state-of-the-art technology onsite, including computers, digital cameras, a flexible classroom space, and meeting pods for virtual or in-person collaboration, training, or job interviews. Visit the Lift Zone in the Aspire Center at 5500 West Madison Street.
And get registered now for the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter’s 2nd Annual Bringing the Light Conference next Saturday, October 18th from 10am to 1pm. This free virtual conference will held in English and Spanish via Zoom and it’s designed to bring awareness to the community about Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, provide support for caregivers, along with resources and information from healthcare professionals and experts on reducing your risk of developing the disease.
