For the first time in nearly six years, Chicago is expected to get over 6 inches of snow tomorrow… a winter storm warning is in effect from 3am Saturday until 6am Sunday for the entire Chicago area. Latest estimates for snow amounts from ABC7 meteorologists are 5-8" for the city and Northwest Indiana and 8" or more toward the north and west.
On top of that, Chicago’s winter overnight parking ban starts this Monday, December 1st and will be in effect nightly from 3 to 7am through April 1, 2026 (no fooling 😉). Streets and Sanitation will tow your car if it’s on one of the routes during that time window whether or not there’s snow, so make sure you check when you park on the street overnight.
Here's to making it through all warm, cozy and safely!
