As temps drop, if you need a warm coat, Mr. Dads Fathers Club hosts their annual Share the Warmth Coat Giveaway today from 10am to 12pm. They'll give away 2000 coats at Lindbloom Park Fieldhouse, 6054 S. Damen Avenue in Chicago. You can register online to receive a coat and only one registration is allotted per family, plus children must be present to receive a coat.They will also provide free food for over 500 community members.
Calumet Memorial Park District hosts their Christmas Around the World Extravaganza today from noon-6pm at the Sandridge Fitness in Calumet City. The event is free for all and includes bumper cars, a winter wonderland obstacle course, bounce houses, vendors, treats, live performances, raffles and more! (See flyer below for all information.)
On Monday, December 8th, join Chicago R&B singer Sean Wyte with host Lisa E. at his annual For The Holidays Toy Drive and networking event at Exclusive Pour in Oak Forest from 5-9pm. Guests are asked to bring unwrapped gifts for children, age appropriate for babies to teens. The toys collected will be shared at a holiday part for children who are patients at LaRabida Children's Hospital Outpatient Center, where they're treated for sickle cell, cerebral palsy, juvenile arthritis, juvenile diabetes and asthma.
