The “One Summer Chicago” program has more money in the budget this year for jobs and internships for teenagers and young adults. Mayor Brandon Johnson allocated more than $75 million for youth employment in his latest budget, which is $11 million more than last year. “One Summer Chicago” is a six-week program that runs from June into August, that matches 28,000 young Chicagoans with a job or internship.
