Chicago museum free days in February

All of the museums in Chicago are offering several free days in the month of February for Illinois residents to enjoy!

To visit The Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Art Institute of Chicago, Adler Planetarium, Museum of Science and Industry, DuSable Museum of African American History, or the Museum of Contemporary Art for free this month, all visitors must provide proof of residency.

See what days you can visit each museum for free below!

Field Museum: Free admission for the entire month of February. This includes all of the general admission exhibitions. Residents can also purchase the all-access pass and discovery pass at discounted rates to see special ticketed exhibitions and 3D movies.

Shedd Aquarium: Free admission for the entire month of February. This includes all animals and permanent exhibits, the aquatic presentation, and seasonal Stingray Touch exhibit.

Art Institute of Chicago: Free admission every weekday now through March 4th.

Adler Planetarium: Free admission February 4th - 6th, 11th - 13th, and 17th - 20th. This includes all exhibitions experiences excluding the Atwood Sphere and sky shows. Illinois resident can purchase a Museum Entry +2 pass at a discount in order to access the Atwood Sphere and sky shows.

Museum of Science and Industry: Free admission February 3rd - 6th, 10th - 13th, 18th - 20th, and 24th - 27th.

DuSable Museum of African American History: Free admission on Tuesdays.

Museum of Contemporary Art: Free admission on Tuesdays.
