The Solar Eclipse is coming... Monday April 8th and if you don't know exactly "what" the eclipse is, you didn't listen in your science class in the 6th grade. The Solar Eclipse occurs when the moon passes between Earth and the Sun causing the temperature to drop 5-10 degrees. The last Solare Eclipse was August 21st, 2017, where thousands gathered at The Daley Center during the solar eclipse in Chicago. People watched the eclipse from Millennium Park in downtown Chicago. But this year another thousand will gather at The Alder Planetarium where people will bring tents, telescopes and filters to watch the eclipse. The eclipse event will last from about 12:51 to 3:22 p.m. The eclipse is expected to be at its peak around 2:07 p.m.
