Megan and the entire Chody family are the proud owners of both Garrett Popcorn Shops and Frango Chocolate. Megan and family are passionate about preserving the heritage of each brand while getting both brands into the hands of new fans.
Megan, while owner, prefers to be called the original and primary Brand Ambassador. Megan has been spokesperson for Garrett Brands since 2009 when she took a more active role in the daily business. In fact, she is part of the team that grew the business from four shops in Chicago to over fifty worldwide.
The legacy of Gladys Garrett remains constant in all that Megan implements at Garrett; additionally, Megan listens and reacts to causes that are important to Garrett team members and fans, which led to the creation of Garrett Cares. Megan and team support both local and global communities. Some recent examples include: After School Matters, Boys & Girls Clubs, Infant Welfare Society, Lurie Children’s Hospital, support of Chicagoland healthcare workers, Pride events, breast cancer initiatives and so much more.
When not spreading “hand-crafted happiness,” Megan is an avid cyclist and proud mom to three incredible daughters.
